Ok, for the people that know me, Im addicted to my cell phone, I Twitter, blog, send photos, text message, my e-mail and the occasional phone call! I love my phone, also I have gone through a bunch of phones, trying to find the best in the way of form/function! So after tons of phones that have been in my hands and have fallen by the wayside, I have decided that the Apple iPhone is worthy of my everyday use!
Now no tech is perfect, and the iPhone is no exception, hopefully the 3.0 update on 6.17.09 will get it close, but in this case, my glorious 3.5 inch touchscreen has been acting "wonky"! It's not responding correctly, and it's only happened once or twice, so I call and schedule an appt. with an Apple Genius to help me out.
(Here's where the anger starts!)I get to my appointment approximately 15 minutes late (I did call to let them know), the "genius" that i'm unfortunately stuck with runs over and states...."I only have a few minutes to
deal with you, then I have someone else to
deal with, ok!" I AM NOT 10 YEARS OLD...YOU DON'T DEAL WITH ME!!!
Moving on, the "genius" grabs my iPhone and states that she's going to run a dianostic test on my phone...only problem is that she can't get my phone connected to her laptop!
After, oh 45 seconds of flashing her penlight at my beloved phone and checking all the sides of it, she states that she can't find a problem with it, however sees that it's been dropped in liquid! Now, being the geek that I am, and completly understanding the relationship between water and electronics...this bad boy has come no where near water!
At this point the "genius" is trying to sell me a brand new iPhone, for the low, low price of
$299.99...stating that there's nothing that she can do to assist me, however does tell me that if i sit my iPhone in a bag of rice that "might" help my situatuion, by pulling any moisture (there isn't any) out of the phone!
So, at this point, the phone has been working fine, however I will be contacting someone at Apple about this! Justice will be served, I'll update this as soon as I get a chance!
