The Day after Christmas...

Day after Christmas and everyone is looking to the new year. Truth be told I am as well but for different reasons. I’m not looking to do ridiculous “resolutions”…more just slight tweaks to my life to make the life for myself and my wife even more beautiful and amazing. My children are adults and are going to live their lives and become even more awesome than they are now…but I need to focus on Benita and myself, financially, spiritually and travel a lot.

On a completely materialistic note, I really like my Macbook! Makes my life easy to jot down my notes and information and exercise the voices in my head when I need to.

Praying for the wrong people?

For the last couple of days I've been seeing a lot of "#prayfor(insert country or cause here). I've also see a lot of negative garbage about supporting one cause over another. It's gotten me thinking that the racism lines and divide are widening and are bolder than ever! So here's my remedy...IM PRAYING FOR EVERY FUCKING BODY!!! That's right call me what ever insensitive names or slurs you like...when I meditate I'm pushing the PMA (positive mental attitude) to all souls that need it. 

So go ahead...be judgemental and add to the problem. I'm taking a small step to being the change that I want to see in the  world. 

Technological (Age) Gap

So...I went a purchased a Macbook last week. So I decided to take my iPad Mini and send it to my mother. Her health is not as it was and I can't get home whenever I want, so I thought if I can see my mom, that may make my world just a bit smaller and I can "see" her rather than call her.

She receives said iPad from UPS...however she has absolutely no idea how to use it! To the point that she took to Facebook to gain assistance...keep in mind that when I called her to assist, she had no idea what wi-fi was and if it was in her house (which it is!)

Couple of days later, with my  sister's assistance, I was able to FaceTime my mother for the first time and it was pretty cool. I was thinking that this was probably science fiction to her...and I was able to bring it to a reality for her. It just makes me happy that I can "see" my mother moving forward.

Mom was incredible grateful for the iPad too!

Entitled

So I'm at the airport working and this incredibly small man totally decked out in leather walks over as I'm waiting for the shuttle to the other terminal and begins brow beating me over the fact that his luggage went to the wrong terminal. "I'm getting on Yelp and in telling everyone how shitty you and this airport are!" Now to be clear I work for an airline shuttle company I don't work for the airport or airlines. This is also where I get angry! Who in the fuck does this Overpriviledged , spooned and entitled bastard think he is to talk down to a complete stranger and berate me. So as he walks away I quickly follow behind and tap him on the shoulder..."excuse me...I'm sorry that you can't find your luggage and you're frustrated however I do NOT work for the airport. I understand it's confusing however that really doesn't give you the right to yell at strangers." Then I politely went back to my seat. The problem is I don't give a fuck you have a phone and a data plan with access to social media...it's not a replacement for manners and courtesy.
